Automatic Pet Feeders (Category Check)
A solved problem sold as a smart one. The mechanics work; the failures are all in the details — jammed hoppers, dead batteries, apps that forget schedules. Shop the failure modes, not the feature list, and the category delivers.
Pet GPS Trackers vs. AirTags
Two different products wearing the same collar. The AirTag is a cheap found-it network that works where iPhones are thick on the ground; a true GPS tracker is a subscription that works where your dog actually gets lost. Know which problem you're buying for.

Pet Cameras (Category Check)
Mostly a reassurance machine, and a generic indoor camera provides the reassurance at a fraction of the pet-branded price. Treat tossers and two-way audio demo well and fade fast. Buy cheap, point it at the sofa, and skip the subscription.
